Acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) 2 is a highly transmissible and pathogenic coronavirus that emerged in late 2019 and caused an acute respiratory disease pandemic called “coronavirus disease 2019” (Covid-19). which threatens human health and public safety.
Clinical tests such as PCR and ELISA are needed for the rapid diagnosis of coronavirus to quickly identify infected patients. However, these techniques are expensive and not readily available for point-of-care applications. Currently, the lack of any rapid, accessible, and reliable method for point-of-care (POC) detection makes the development of COVID-19 a dire global problem. Rapid detection tests for Covid-19 based on immunochromatography and colloidal gold nanoparticles are among the types of POC tests that have become very important today. In this type of test, there is no need to send samples to a central laboratory and wait for the answer, and the result is determined within 15 minutes.
